The Skills Inventory Worksheet (SIW) was developed by Bryn Mawr College Leadership, Innovation, and Liberal Arts Center (LILAC) (Unknown). It is designed to measure Self-reported skill proficiency. The scale is intended for use with Students, job seekers, and working professionals.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 124 items organized into 13 factors/subscales: Verbal/Written Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Administrative Skills, Learning, Leadership, Influencing/Motivational Skills, Computer and Web Skills, Teaching/Coaching, Artistic Skills, Innovative Skills, Math/Financial Skills, Doing/Hands-On, Physical Skills.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Low Proficiency / No Experience, 2 = Basic Proficiency, 3 = Intermediate Proficiency, 4 = Advanced Proficiency, 5 = Expert Proficiency.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 1 to 5. Interpretation guidelines:
- Development Area: 1 – 2
- Competent: 3 – 3
- Key Strength: 4 – 5

Administration
