Scale Overview
The Self-Construal Scale – SCS was developed by Wei-hsuan Wang (2009). It is designed to measure Self-construal. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 38 items organized into 10 factors/subscales: Autonomy, Direct Communication, Uniqueness, Competition, Relatedness, Sociability, Belonging, Harmony and Conformity, Independent Self-Construal, Interdependent Self-Construal.

Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.

The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
