Scale Overview
The Rokeach Value Survey – RVS was developed by Milton Rokeach (1973). It is designed to measure Human Values. The scale is intended for use with General population (ages 11 to 90).
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 36 items organized into 2 factors/subscales: Terminal Values, Instrumental Values.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Most important to me, 18 = Least important to me.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.70 – 0.80.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
