The Rokeach Value Survey – RVS was developed by Milton Rokeach (1973). It is designed to measure Human Values. The scale is intended for use with Adults and adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 36 items organized into 2 factors/subscales: Terminal Values, Instrumental Values.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Most important to you, 18 = Least important to you.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Median test-retest reliability ranges from .78 to .80 for terminal values, and .70 to .72 for instrumental values (Form D)..
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
