Scale Overview
The Risks and Consequences Questionnaire – RCQ was developed by L.A.R. Stein, Rebecca Lebeau, Mary Clair, Joseph S. Rossi, Rose Marie Martin, & Charles Golembeske (2010). It is designed to measure Alcohol- and marijuana-related risks and consequences. The scale is intended for use with Incarcerated adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 23 items organized into 7 factors/subscales: Injuries and Fighting, Sexual Behavior, Driving, Interpersonal Problems, School and Work Problems, Victimization, Suicide Risk.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: happened = Number of times happened, alcohol = Number of times happened with alcohol involved, marijuana = Number of times happened with marijuana involved.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
