Scale Overview
The Religion Scale was developed by Panos D. Bardis (1961). It is designed to measure Religiosity. The scale is intended for use with General population.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 25 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = strongly disagree, 1 = disagree, 2 = undecided, 3 = agree, 4 = strongly agree.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
- Total Score (higher scores indicate greater religiosity): 0 – 100
