Scale Overview
The Prosocial Self-Regulation Questionnaire – SRQ-P was developed by Richard M. Ryan & James P. Connell (1989). It is designed to measure Prosocial Self-Regulation. The scale is intended for use with Children in late elementary and middle school.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 25 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: External Regulation, Introjected Regulation, Identified Regulation.

Response anchors: 1 = Not at all True, 2 = Not Very True, 3 = Sort of True, 4 = Very True.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 1 to 4. Interpretation guidelines:
- Subscale scores are calculated as the mean of the items within that subscale, ranging from 1 (low endorsement) to 4 (high endorsement).: 1 – 4
