The Posttraumatic Growth Inventory for Children – PTGI-C was developed by Richard G. Tedeschi, Lawrence G. Calhoun, Ryan P. Kilmer, Virginia Gil-Rivas, Albert Cann, Kanako Taku (2006). It is designed to measure Posttraumatic Growth. The scale is intended for use with Children and adolescents (ages 7-18).

Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 21 to 84. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low posttraumatic growth: 21 – 42
- Moderate posttraumatic growth: 43 – 63
- High posttraumatic growth: 64 – 84
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha ranges from .80 to .90 for the total scale.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
