Scale Overview
The Peer Relations Questionnaire – PRQ was developed by Ken Rigby & Phillip Slee (1993). It is designed to measure Bullying and Peer Relations. The scale is intended for use with Children and adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 20 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Victim, Pro-Social, Bully, Filler.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Never, 2 = Once in a while, 3 = Pretty often, 4 = Very often.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 5 to 20. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Victimization / Low Pro-Social / Low Bullying: 5 – 10
- Moderate Victimization / Moderate Pro-Social / Moderate Bullying: 11 – 15
- High Victimization / High Pro-Social / High Bullying: 16 – 20
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
