The Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale – OCBS was developed by Podsakoff, P. M., MacKenzie, S. B., Moorman, R. H., & Fetter, R. (1990). It is designed to measure Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The scale is intended for use with Working adults / Employees.

This instrument consists of 24 items organized into 5 factors/subscales: Altruism, Conscientiousness, Sportsmanship, Courtesy, Civic Virtue.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 7-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree).
The scale includes 5 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.

Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 24 to 168. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Organizational Citizenship Behavior: 24 – 72
- Moderate Organizational Citizenship Behavior: 73 – 120
- High Organizational Citizenship Behavior: 121 – 168
