Scale Overview
The New Job Stress Scale (NJSS) was developed by Abhishek Shukla & Rajeev Srivastava (2016). It is designed to measure Job stress, role conflict, coworker support, and work-life balance. The scale is intended for use with Working adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 22 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Job Stress, Role Expectation Conflict, Coworker Support, Work-Life Balance.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Strongly disagree / Never, 2 = Disagree / Very Occasionally, 3 = Undecided / Sometimes, 4 = Agree / Often, 5 = Strongly agree / Very Often, 6 = All the Time (Coworker Support only).
The scale includes 1 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.

Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
