Scale Overview
The Multidimensional Measure of Islamic Spirituality – MMS was developed by Rabia Dasti, Aisha Sitwat (2014). It is designed to measure Islamic Spirituality. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 75 items organized into 8 factors/subscales: Self Discipline, Quest and Search for Divinity, Anger & Expansive Behavior, Self-Aggrandizement, Feeling of Connectedness with Allah, Meanness-Generosity, Tolerance-Intolerance, Islamic Practices.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 5-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 5 = Strongly Agree).
The scale includes 41 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of SD: 0.68, Q: 0.84, A&E: 0.79, SA: 0.79, FC: 0.84, M-G: 0.74, TI: 0.76, IP: 0.71.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
