Scale Overview
The Mode Values Inventory – MVI was developed by V. A. Braithwaite & H. G. Law (1985). It is designed to measure Human Values. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 51 items organized into 10 factors/subscales: A positive Orientation to others, Competence and Effectiveness, Propriety in Dress and Manners, Religious Commitment, Assertiveness, Withdrawal From Others, Carefreeness, Honesty, Thriftiness, Getting Ahead.

Total scores range from 1 to 7. Interpretation guidelines:

Moderate Importance / Neutrality: 3 – 4
High Importance / Acceptance: 5 – 7
