Scale Overview

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = No (0% confidence), 10 = Yes – 10% confident, 20 = Yes – 20% confident, 30 = Yes – 30% confident, 40 = Yes – 40% confident, 50 = Yes – 50% confident, 60 = Yes – 60% confident, 70 = Yes – 70% confident, 80 = Yes – 80% confident, 90 = Yes – 90% confident, 100 = Yes – 100% confident.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 0 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Memory Self-Efficacy: 0 – 39
- Moderate Memory Self-Efficacy: 40 – 69
- High Memory Self-Efficacy: 70 – 100
