Scale Overview
The Measurement of Student Responses to Open-Book Examinations was developed by John F. Feldhusen (1961). It is designed to measure Attitudes toward Testing. The scale is intended for use with College students.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 13 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: a = Option A, b = Option B, c = Option C, d = Option D (where applicable).
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.

Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of No reliability indicated.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
