Scale Overview
The Life/Career Values Inventory (LCVI) was developed by WorkLife Design (Unknown). It is designed to measure Career and Life Values. The scale is intended for use with Adults / Working Professionals.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 46 items organized into 11 factors/subscales: Career Values – Recognition, Career Values – Rewards, Career Values – Work-Product, Career Values – Organization, Career Values – Growth, Life Values – Community, Life Values – Family, Life Values – Friends/Social, Life Values – Financial, Life Values – Growth, Life Values – Recognition.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = No Importance, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, 4 = 4, 5 = 5, 6 = 6, 7 = 7, 8 = 8, 9 = 9, 10 = Very High Importance.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 1 to 10. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Importance: 1 – 3
- Moderate Importance: 4 – 7
- High Importance: 8 – 10
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
