Scale Overview
The Leadership Relationship Quality Scale – Employee Version (LRQ-E) was developed by Hans-Joachim Wolfram, Gisela Mohr (2004). It is designed to measure Leadership relationship quality. The scale is intended for use with Employees.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 16 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Respect, Trust, Encouragement, Affection.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Does not apply at all, 2 = Applies slightly, 3 = Applies moderately, 4 = Applies mostly, 5 = Applies completely.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 16 to 80. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low relationship quality: 16 – 37
- Moderate relationship quality: 38 – 59
- High relationship quality: 60 – 80
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's Alpha = .91.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
