The Interpersonal Sexual Objectification Scale – ISOS was developed by Kozee, H. B., Tylka, T. L., Augustus-Horvath, C. L., & Denchik, A. (2007). It is designed to measure Interpersonal Sexual Objectification. The scale is intended for use with Adults (primarily women).

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Never, 2 = Rarely, 3 = Occasionally, 4 = Frequently, 5 = Almost Always.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 1 to 5. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low frequency of sexual objectification: 1 – 2
- Moderate frequency of sexual objectification: 2 – 3
- High frequency of sexual objectification: 3 – 5
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha ranges from .91 to .96.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
