Scale Overview
The Internalization of Labor Standards Scale was developed by Fischer & Kohr (1980). It is designed to measure Internalization of Labor Standards. The scale is intended for use with Working adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 13 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Inapplicable, 2 = Rather inapplicable, 3 = Neither/nor, 4 = Rather applicable, 5 = Applicable.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 13 to 65. Interpretation guidelines:
- Very Low Internalization: 13 – 32
- Low Internalization: 33 – 35
- Moderate Internalization: 36 – 41
- High Internalization: 42 – 47
- Very High Internalization: 48 – 65
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's Alpha = .81.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
