Scale Overview
The Interaction With Antisocial Peers Scale was developed by Social Development Research Group, University of Washington (2004). It is designed to measure Peer Delinquency and Antisocial Behavior. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents and students.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 6 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = None of my friends, 1 = 1 of my friends, 2 = 2 of my friends, 3 = 3 of my friends, 4 = 4 of my friends.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 24. Interpretation guidelines:
- No interaction with antisocial peers: 0 – 0
- Low interaction with antisocial peers: 1 – 6
- Moderate interaction with antisocial peers: 7 – 12
- High interaction with antisocial peers: 13 – 24
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
