Scale Overview
The Identification of Migraine Screener – ID Migraine was developed by Lipton RB, et al. (2003). It is designed to measure Migraine screening. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 3 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a dichotomous Yes/No format.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 3. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low probability of migraine: 0 – 1
- High probability of migraine (93% probability; consulting a healthcare professional is recommended): 2 – 3
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 1 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
