Scale Overview
The Favorable Attitudes Toward Antisocial Behavior Scale was developed by Social Development Research Group (2004). It is designed to measure Antisocial Attitudes. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents and students.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 5 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Very wrong, 2 = Wrong, 3 = A little bit wrong, 4 = Not wrong at all.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 1 to 4. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low favorability toward antisocial behavior (High moral disapproval): 1 – 1
- Moderate favorability toward antisocial behavior: 2 – 2
- High favorability toward antisocial behavior (Low moral disapproval): 3 – 4
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
