Scale Overview
The Family Awareness Scale – FAS was developed by Michael S. Kolevzon, Robert G. Green (1987). It is designed to measure Family functioning and awareness. The scale is intended for use with Families / Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 14 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = 1 (Positive/Negative anchor depending on item), 9 = 9 (Positive/Negative anchor depending on item).
The scale includes 4 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
