The Experienced Self and Other Scale – ESOS was developed by Shvil, E., Midlarsky, E., & Krauss, H. H. (2013). It is designed to measure Sense of self and differentiation in relation to others and environment. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 45 items organized into 5 factors/subscales: Experience of Positive Sensation, Experience of Challenges, Experience of Temptations, Experience of Higher Power, Experience of Family.

Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Positive Sensation (alpha 0.81), Challenges (alpha 0.77), Temptations (alpha 0.73), Higher Power (alpha 0.78), Family (alpha 0.65).
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
