Scale Overview
The Environmental Efficacy Measure – EEM was developed by Marijn H.C. Meijers, Anke Wonneberger, Rachid Azrout, Ragnheiður “Heather” Torfadóttir, Cameron Brick (2023). It is designed to measure Environmental Efficacy Beliefs. The scale is intended for use with Adults (18 years and older).
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 50 items organized into 7 factors/subscales: Personal Efficacy, Personal Response Efficacy, Collective Efficacy, Collective Response Efficacy, Internal Governmental Efficacy, External Governmental Efficacy, Governmental Response Efficacy.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 7-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree).
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha ranged from .86 to .93.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
