Response anchors: 0 = Not at all, 2 = Slightly, 4 = Moderately, 6 = Extremely.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 127. Interpretation guidelines:
- Subclinical / Low Severity: 0 – 15
- Mild Eating Pathology: 16 – 30
- Moderate Eating Pathology: 31 – 45
- Severe Eating Pathology: 46 – 127
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Alpha coefficients typically range from 0.80 to 0.91 for the overall scale.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
