Scale Overview
The Dieting Self-Efficacy Test – DSET was developed by Philip Lawrence Ascheman (1989). It is designed to measure Dieting Self-Efficacy. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.

The scale includes 2 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.

Total scores range from 30 to 150. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Dieting Self-Efficacy: 30 – 70
- Moderate Dieting Self-Efficacy: 71 – 110
- High Dieting Self-Efficacy: 111 – 150
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
