Scale Overview
The Determinants of Staying Home During the COVID-19 Pandemic – Model Inventory was developed by Lucas Heiki Matsunaga, Toshiaki Aoki, Cristiane Faiad, Daniel P. Aldrich, Po-Hsing Tseng, Jun Aida (2023). It is designed to measure Determinants of staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 19 items organized into 9 factors/subscales: Attitude, Injunctive Norm, Perceived Behavioral Control, Intention, Moral Norm, Cognitive Risk Evaluation, Frequency of COVID-19 Information, Fear, Behavior.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Strongly Disagree / Very Low Frequency, 2 = Disagree / Low Frequency, 3 = Neutral / Moderate Frequency, 4 = Agree / High Frequency, 5 = Strongly Agree / Very High Frequency.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha coefficients ranged from .69 to .87.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
