Response anchors: 1 = Strongly Disagree / Not at all / Ineffective / Not at all likely, 2 = Disagree / Slight extent / Poorly effective / Unlikely, 3 = Neutral / Moderate extent / Moderately effective / Quite likely, 4 = Agree / Great extent / Effective / Very likely, 5 = Strongly Agree / Very great extent / Very effective / Almost certain.
The scale includes 22 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 1 to 5. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low/Poor Perception of Unit Functioning: 1 – 2
- Moderate Perception of Unit Functioning: 3 – 3
- High/Good Perception of Unit Functioning: 4 – 5
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Reported in Minvielle et al. (2005).
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
