The Cultural Inheritance-Based Innovation Scale – CIBI Scale was developed by Wang, Mei-Yu; Li, Yong-Quan; Ruan, Wen-Qi; Zhang, Shu-Ning; Li, Rui (2023). It is designed to measure Cultural Inheritance-Based Innovation. The scale is intended for use with Tourists (Adults).

This instrument consists of 13 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Cultural authentic production, Cultural creative dissemination, Cultural living display, Cultural transforming creation.

Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 13 to 91. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Perception of Cultural Innovation: 13 – 39
- Moderate Perception of Cultural Innovation: 40 – 65
- High Perception of Cultural Innovation: 66 – 91
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha > 0.839.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
