Scale Overview
The COVID-19-Related Worries and Fears Scale – CoV-WoFe was developed by Esther Cuadrado, Alicia Arenas, Manuel Moyano, Martina La Gamma (2023). It is designed to measure COVID-19-Related Worries and Fears. The scale is intended for use with Adults (18 years and older).
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 6 items organized into 2 factors/subscales: Worry about the health consequences of COVID-19, Fear of COVID-19.

Response Format

Total scores range from 6 to 42. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low level of worries and fears: 6 – 18
- Moderate level of worries and fears: 19 – 30
- High level of worries and fears: 31 – 42
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Overall α = .85, Worry subscale α = .81, Fear subscale α = .85.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
