The COVID-19-Related Worries and Fears Scale – CoV-WoFe was developed by Esther Cuadrado, Alicia Arenas, Manuel Moyano, Martina La Gamma (2023). It is designed to measure COVID-19-Related Worries and Fears. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.

Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 6 to 42. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low worry and fear: 6 – 18
- Moderate worry and fear: 19 – 30
- High worry and fear: 31 – 42
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Overall α = 0.85, Worry subscale α = 0.81, Fear subscale α = 0.85.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
