The Counterproductive Work Behavior Checklist – CWB-C was developed by Paul E. Spector, Suzy Fox, Lisa M. Penney, Karen Bruursema, Angeline Goh, & Stephane Kessler (2006). It is designed to measure Counterproductive Work Behavior. The scale is intended for use with Working adults.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Never, 2 = Once or Twice, 3 = Once or Twice per month, 4 = Once or twice per week, 5 = Every day.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 45 to 225. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low frequency of counterproductive behaviors: 45 – 90
- Moderate frequency of counterproductive behaviors: 91 – 135
- High frequency of counterproductive behaviors: 136 – 225
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of CWB-Total: 0.90, CWB-O: 0.86, CWB-P: 0.86.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
