Scale Overview
The Conflict Avoider Style of Marriage Scale was developed by John M. Gottman (2007). It is designed to measure Marital conflict avoidance. The scale is intended for use with Married couples.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a dichotomous True/False format.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 29. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low alignment with Conflict Avoider style: 0 – 9
- Moderate alignment with Conflict Avoider style: 10 – 19
- High alignment with Conflict Avoider style: 20 – 29
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
