Scale Overview
The Collective Self-Efficacy Expectations Inventory – I-KSWE was developed by Kirkman et al. (German adaptation) (2020). It is designed to measure Collective Self-Efficacy. The scale is intended for use with Work groups and teams.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 3 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Strongly disagree, 2 = Somewhat disagree, 3 = Neither agree nor disagree, 4 = Somewhat agree, 5 = Strongly agree.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 1 to 5. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Collective Self-Efficacy: 1 – 2
- Moderate Collective Self-Efficacy: 3 – 3
- High Collective Self-Efficacy: 4 – 5
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha = 0.80, McDonald's omega = 0.80.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 1 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
