Scale Overview
The Classroom Assessment Fairness Inventory (CAFI) was developed by Amirhossein Rasooli, Christopher DeLuca, Liying Cheng, Amin Mousavi (2023). It is designed to measure Classroom assessment fairness. The scale is intended for use with Students (adolescents and adults).
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 35 items organized into 5 factors/subscales: Groupwork, Exam, Cheating, Grading, Feedback.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Highly unfair, 2 = Unfair, 3 = Somewhat unfair, 4 = Somewhat fair, 5 = Fair, 6 = Highly fair, 7 = I am not sure.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha: 0.79 – 0.87.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
