Scale Overview
The Charity Organization Donations – Model (CODM) was developed by Clare D’Souza, Lorraine Valladares, Vanessa Ratten, Marthin Nanere, Tanvir Ahmed, Ninh Nguyen, Malliga Marimuthu (2023). It is designed to measure Charitable giving attitudes, brand image, trust, commitment, and emotions. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

This instrument consists of 16 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Commitment, Image, Trust, Emotions.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 7-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree).
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 16 to 112. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Support/Perception: 16 – 48
- Moderate Support/Perception: 49 – 80
- High Support/Perception: 81 – 112
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Composite reliability (CR) values ranged from .70 to .85.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
