Scale Overview
The Bruce Social Participation Questionnaire – BSPQ was developed by Clarke School for the Deaf (1960). It is designed to measure Social Participation in Deaf Individuals. The scale is intended for use with Deaf adolescents and adults.

Response Format

Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 60. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Social Participation: 0 – 20
- Moderate Social Participation: 21 – 40
- High Social Participation: 41 – 60
