Scale Overview
The Blushing Propensity Scale – BPS was developed by Mark R. Leary, S. Meadows, Susan M. Bögels (1991). It is designed to measure Blushing Propensity. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Response anchors: 1 = I NEVER feel myself blush in this situation., 2 = I RARELY feel myself blush in this situation., 3 = I OCCASIONALLY feel myself blush in this situation., 4 = I OFTEN feel myself blush in this situation., 5 = I ALWAYS feel myself blush in this situation..
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 19 to 95. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low blushing propensity: 19 – 38
- Moderate blushing propensity: 39 – 66
- High blushing propensity: 67 – 95

Administration
