Response anchors: 1 = 1 (Not at all comfortable / Not at all / Completely Hispanic), 2 = 2 (Mostly Hispanic), 3 = 3 (Both Hispanic & American), 4 = 4 (Mostly American), 5 = 5 (Very comfortable / Very much / Completely American).
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from -84 to 84. Interpretation guidelines:
- Monocultural Americanism: -84 – -15
- Biculturalism: -14 – 14
- Monocultural Hispanicism: 15 – 84
