Scale Overview
The Attitudes Toward Migrant Integration Policies Scale – AMIP Scale was developed by Fabio Maratia, Beatrice Bobba, Elisabetta Crocetti (2023). It is designed to measure Attitudes toward migrant integration policies. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents and adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 8 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Not at all important, 2 = A little important, 3 = Quite important, 4 = Very important, 5 = Absolutely important.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 8 to 40. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low support: 8 – 18
- Moderate support: 19 – 29
- High support: 30 – 40
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha .91 – .94.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
