Scale Overview
The Athletic Injury Self-Efficacy Questionnaire – AISEQ was developed by Milne, M., Hall, C., & Forwell, L. (2005). It is designed to measure Athletic injury rehabilitation self-efficacy. The scale is intended for use with Injured athletes.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 10 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: Task Self-Efficacy, Barrier Self-Efficacy, Scheduling Self-Efficacy.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = 0% (No confidence), 10 = 10%, 20 = 20%, 30 = 30%, 40 = 40%, 50 = 50% (Moderately confident), 60 = 60%, 70 = 70%, 80 = 80%, 90 = 90%, 100 = 100% (Complete confidence).
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Self-Efficacy: 0 – 49
- Moderate Self-Efficacy: 50 – 79
- High Self-Efficacy: 80 – 100
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
