The Appearance-Based Rejection Sensitivity Scale – 15-Scenario Version (Appearance-RS) was developed by Park, L. E. (2007). It is designed to measure Appearance-based rejection sensitivity. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Response anchors: 1 = Very unconcerned / Very unlikely, 2 = Unconcerned / Unlikely, 3 = Somewhat unconcerned / Somewhat unlikely, 4 = Somewhat concerned / Somewhat likely, 5 = Concerned / Likely, 6 = Very concerned / Very likely.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 1 to 36. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Appearance-Based Rejection Sensitivity: 1 – 9
- Moderate Appearance-Based Rejection Sensitivity: 10 – 18
- High Appearance-Based Rejection Sensitivity: 19 – 36
