Response anchors: 1 = extremely pleased, 2 = very pleased, 3 = fairly pleased, 4 = somewhat pleased, 5 = neutral, 6 = somewhat bothered, 7 = fairly bothered, 8 = very bothered, 9 = extremely bothered.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 5 to 45. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low anticipated sexual jealousy: 5 – 15
- Moderate anticipated sexual jealousy: 16 – 34
- High anticipated sexual jealousy: 35 – 45
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha of .90 – .94.
