Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Never, 2 = Once in a while (less than 10% of the time), 3 = Sometimes (10%-25% of the time), 4 = A lot (26%-49% of the time), 5 = Most of the time (50%-70% of the time), 6 = Almost all of the time (more than 70% of the time).
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 23 to 138. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low frequency of anti-bisexual experiences: 23 – 68
- Moderate frequency of anti-bisexual experiences: 69 – 114
- High frequency of anti-bisexual experiences: 115 – 138
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha: Instability (0.94-0.95), Irresponsibility (0.90-0.91), Hostility (0.88), Total (0.95).
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
