Scale Overview
The Antecedents of Sexual and Reproductive Health Misperceptions – Model (ASRHM-M) was developed by Yujie Dong, Lianshan Zhang, Chervin Lam, and Zhongwei Huang (2024). It is designed to measure Sexual and Reproductive Health Misperceptions. The scale is intended for use with Adult women.

Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 22 to 154. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low levels of stigma, avoidance, overload, and misperceptions: 22 – 65
- Moderate levels of stigma, avoidance, overload, and misperceptions: 66 – 110
- High levels of stigma, avoidance, overload, and misperceptions: 111 – 154
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha ranged from .78 to .90 across subscales.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 8 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
