Scale Overview
The Aesthetic Capital Scale (ACS) was developed by Yung-Sen Lin, Wen-Shiung Huang, Kao-Sheng Chen, Chun-Yi Wu (2024). It is designed to measure Aesthetic Capital. The scale is intended for use with Hospitality Industry Front-Line Employees.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 18 items organized into 5 factors/subscales: Personal Attire Capital, Social Exchange Capital, Outward Investment Capital, Education Investment Capital, Multicultural Capital.

Total scores range from 18 to 90. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Aesthetic Capital: 18 – 42
- Moderate Aesthetic Capital: 43 – 66
- High Aesthetic Capital: 67 – 90
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha 0.73–0.87 for factors.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
