REPRESSION PROPER

Called afterexpulsion by Sigmund Freud, a type of repression in which experiences or wishes that have been in the conscious mind are made unconscious. Also known as: secondary repression.

REPRESSION PROPER: “Repression proper acts on desires which have previously been in the conscious mind to move them into the unconscious.”
