This heightened environmental similarity (e.g., being dressed alike, receiving greater attention as a curiosity) could artificially inflate the correlation (rMZ) beyond what is strictly due to genetic similarity, thereby biasing the ACE model to overestimate heritability (A) and underestimate the shared environmental impact (C). More importantly, the ACE model relies on strictly additive partitioning of variance, meaning it often fails to adequately capture complex biological reality.
