Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 30 items organized into 7 factors/subscales: Parental Nudity Subscale, Overall Nudity Subscale, Parental Bed Subscale, Maternal Attitudes Subscale, Paternal Attitudes Subscale, Overall Attitudes Subscale, Sexual Adjustment.
| Factor / Subscale | Items | N |
|---|---|---|
| Parental Nudity Subscale | 1,2,3,4 | 4 |
| Overall Nudity Subscale | 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 | 8 |
| Parental Bed Subscale | 9,10 | 2 |

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = 1 (Almost never / Extreme discomfort / Extremely negative / Strongly disagree), 2 = 2 (Rarely / Moderate discomfort / Moderately negative / Somewhat disagree), 3 = 3 (Sometimes / Neither comfort nor discomfort / Neither positive nor negative / Neither agree nor disagree), 4 = 4 (Often / Moderate comfort / Moderately positive / Somewhat agree), 5 = 5 (Very often / Extreme comfort / Extremely positive / Strongly agree).
The scale includes 3 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Parental Nudity α = .74; Overall Nudity α = .77; Parental Bed α = .80; Maternal Attitudes α = .77; Paternal Attitudes α = .78; Overall Attitudes α = .78.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
